PUBLIC NOTICE
Hi Everyone
The Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund (VBAF) and Fire Recovery Unit (FRU -
formerly VBRRA) have announced that there is a further $16 million to
assist with bush fire recovery. There will be public consultation meetings
to allow for community input.
Firstly: The attached notice is from the VBAF Community Advisory Committee
(CAC) and I am advised this represents their community consultation. It is
provided for your information.
Secondly, we have been advised that the FRU would like to see a more localised
consultation process. The FRU, therefore has organised additional meetings, and below is the meeting to be held for what was once the Melba CRC communities (Glenburn, Limestone and Murrindindi-Woodbourne)
The FRU (Murrindindi-Woodbourne) meeting will be held at the Limestone
Fire shed on 21 July 2011 at 7.00pm this will also include the other above mentioned communities.
Both these meetings are an opportunity to at least have your thoughts and
opinions heard by those who may be the decision makers for this funding.
So if you have issues, ideas etc that need addressing and you want to be heard this is the place to do it.
Finally, it is important that as many people as possible are aware of these
meetings. We will post both meetings on our website http://www.woodbourne.vic.au/ and place
these notices in our Community Notice Board. (Located at the Fire Shed & Hub Building site)
There will be no letter box drop.
